During his debut collegiate season, Upchurch posted a 3.34 earned run average over 14 starts, compiling an 8‑3 record while striking out batters at a rate that made him the Tide's most effective weekend starter. His 3.34 ERA also ranked sixth lowest among all Division I rookie starters, and he finished the year with a .195 opponent batting average, the best among Alabama's hurlers.
Road to the World Collegiate Championship
The camp will be held in Cary, North Carolina, where participants will compete in a series of exhibition games against Appalachian League teams.
