NASCAR Announces 2027 Schedule, Highlighting Martinsville’s 80th Anniversary
NASCAR has released its 2027 race calendar, a lineup that blends tradition with fresh destinations. The schedule, which was partially disclosed ahead of the full rollout, confirms two weekend events at Martinsville Speedway, the historic half‑mile track in Virginia, to mark its 80th year of competition.
Spring and Fall Weekends at Martinsville
The spring weekend is set for April 16‑18 and will feature the Whelen Modified Tour, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and the premier NASCAR Cup Series, giving fans a chance to experience the track’s storied layout during a milder spring climate.
In November, the track will host another multi‑series weekend from November 5‑7, headlined by the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and the Cup Series, rounding out a year‑long celebration of the venue’s legacy.
A Historic Track Moves Up the Cup Series Order
Martinsville has held the seventh spot on the Cup Series schedule for the past two seasons and will move to the eighth position in 2027, underscoring its continued importance within the tour’s early‑season narrative.
Other Venues and Pending Dates
Beyond Martinsville, the calendar includes the return of the NASCAR Clash to Daytona International Speedway on February 13, followed by the Daytona 500, while new dates have been set for EchoPark Speedway, the Circuit of The Americas, Phoenix Raceway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Some race weekends, including those at Richmond Raceway, remain undecided.
