Gonzaga Bulldogs head coach Mark Few is reshaping the squad for the 2026‑27 campaign after the NCAA cleared Skylar Wicks to rejoin the program.
Wicks arrives after a season at St. Francis where he posted 17.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists, giving the Bulldogs a versatile backcourt option.
The offseason also brought in Dayton point guard Javon Bennett and Florida State forward Chauncey Wiggins, both expected to feature prominently in the rotation.
A strategic push for a championship
Among the targets for the starting point‑guard role are Donovan Dent, who averaged 7.6 assists per game in the Big Ten, and Xaivian Lee, noted for his defensive intensity and offensive versatility in a power conference.
Veteran Mario Saint‑Supery, who had been a staple in the backcourt, departed for a multiyear contract with Valencia in Spain, altering the team’s perimeter dynamics.
International prospects Nathan de Sousa and Izan Almansa remain in eligibility limbo under the NCAA’s five‑in‑five rule, which limits five seasons of college play after turning 19.
Their status could force Gonzaga to consider additional depth options behind Davis Fogle, Braden Huff and Massamba Diop if the duo cannot be cleared.
