Czechia Unveils Roster for Euro Hockey Tour in Switzerland
The Czech women's national hockey team has officially disclosed the lineup that will represent the country in the opening leg of the Women's Euro Hockey Tour, scheduled to take place in Kloten, Switzerland, from August 19 to 22. The announcement underscores a strategic mix of experience and youthful vigor as the squad aims to make an impact against three formidable opponents.
Veteran presence will be anchored by returning goalkeepers Klára Peslarová and Julie Pejšová, while Aneta Šenková joins the crease after a stint in the NCAA with Clarkson University. Their experience is expected to provide stability between the pipes during the intensive tournament schedule.
On the defensive side, stalwarts such as Sára Čajanová, Noemi Neubauerová, Aneta Tejralová, Daniela Pejšová and Klára Seroiszková are set to reprise their roles, complemented by fresh faces Ellen Jarabková and Aneta Paroubková. Paroubková’s recent accolade as Czech Junior Women's Player of the Year adds a narrative of optimism for the younger contingent.
Up front, the offensive unit will feature PWHL veterans Tereza Vanišová, Tereza Pištěková, Natálie Mlýnková and Klára Hymlárová, alongside seasoned players Michaela Pejzlová and Vendula Přibylová. Their combined skill sets aim to generate scoring chances against the tournament's competitive defenses.
The roster also incorporates NCAA athletes Julie Jebousková, Anežka Čabelová, Barbora Juříčková, Adéla Šapovalivová and Tereza Plosová, while teenage prospects Lucie Šindelářová and Tereza Gildainová earn call‑ups. Gildainová, committed to Cornell University, is poised to make her SDHL debut, highlighting the pipeline of talent being nurtured by the national program.
Guiding the team is head coach Brian Idalski, who steps into his first assignment with Czechia. Under his direction, the squad will face Finland on August 19, Sweden on August 21 and Switzerland on August 22, marking a crucial early test in the Euro Tour campaign.
