Mid‑American Conference Unveils 2026‑27 Women’s Basketball Schedule

Kent State Golden Flashes set for 18‑game conference slate, home matchups and March tournament at Rocket Arena

The Mid‑American Conference (MAC) announced the 2026‑27 women’s basketball schedule on Wednesday, laying out an 18‑game conference slate for each of its member schools.

For Kent State, the plan calls for seven home‑and‑home opponents, meaning the Golden Flashes will host seven different rivals while traveling to face the other seven in conference play.

The early stretch of the schedule opens with road tests at Toledo on January 2 and at Eastern Michigan on January 6 before the team returns to the M.A.C. Center for its first home matchup against Central Michigan on January 9.

A week later, Kent State heads to Ball State on January 13, and then makes the short trip to Akron on January 30 for a rematch with the Zips, a rivalry that has produced several memorable contests over the years.

Two opponents — Bowling Green and Miami — will be exclusive road games for the Flashes, with the visit to Miami slated for February 10, while the team will not host either of those schools.

The regular season concludes on March 6 with a home game against Eastern Michigan, providing a final chance for positioning before the conference tournament.

Tournament outlook

The top eight teams will then converge at Cleveland’s Rocket Arena for the 2027 MAC Women’s Basketball Tournament from March 10‑13, where the Flashes hope to contend for the title.
