A Strategic Addition for the Red Devils
Dickinson College’s field hockey program has secured a seasoned coach whose blend of playing excellence and administrative acumen promises to elevate the Red Devils’ competitive edge in the upcoming 2026 campaign.
Ellie Jenkins arrives after a distinguished tenure at MIT, where she contributed to multiple playoff appearances and helped the team capture a NEWMAC championship game in 2024. Her role as interim head coach from February to April 2026 underscored her ability to manage practice regimens, drive fundraising initiatives, and shape recruiting strategies.
Jenkins’ playing foundation was laid at Stevens Institute of Technology, where she was a key member of a squad that secured the MAC Freedom Conference championship in 2021. That experience, coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Technology, provided a strong technical and strategic outlook that she now brings to Dickinson.
Beyond the collegiate arena, Jenkins has demonstrated versatility through club-level coaching, guiding U12 teams to undefeated seasons and a first‑place finish at the Seacoast Arctic Bash. Her Level 1 certification from USA Field Hockey, earned in March 2023, further validates her commitment to coaching excellence.
Her professional trajectory also includes a graduate assistantship at Manhattanville University, where she helped double the team’s win total and secure a playoff berth. A subsequent Master of Science in Sports Business and Entertainment Management from Manhattanville deepened her expertise in player development, fundraising, and administrative functions.
With a proven record of nurturing talent — evidenced by two All‑Americans, three All‑Region selections, and six NEWMAC All‑Conference honorees during her MIT stint — Jenkins is positioned to accelerate the Red Devils’ growth and foster a culture of sustained success.
