The Orlando Solar Bears announced this week that they have re-signed forward Connor Eddy to a contract that will carry him through the 2026-27 season. Eddy, a native of Victoria British Columbia, first donned the Solar Bears jersey during a tryout and went on to appear in twelve games, contributing a goal and two assists.

Eddy’s development has been marked by a series of strong performances in the British Columbia Hockey League where he logged 80 points 34 goals and 46 assists over 104 games with the Victoria Grizzlies. His most productive campaign came in 2021-22 when he accounted for 57 of those points showcasing a blend of scoring touch and playmaking.

His collegiate journey added another layer to his résumé. After a stint at Northern Michigan University he finished his college career at UMass-Lowell where he tallied 41 points in 137 appearances and accumulated 132 penalty minutes underscoring his physical brand of hockey.

The team’s management highlighted the value of bringing a player who knows the organization’s culture while still possessing upside. 'Connor’s work ethic and familiarity with our system make him a natural fit as we look ahead' a senior executive said in the announcement.
