K-State Wildcats women's basketball has secured the commitment of Cristina Osazuwa, a 6-foot-2 Italian forward, for the 2026-27 campaign, adding a seasoned international presence to the squad.
A Strategic Addition
Osazuwa arrives after a standout stint with Italy’s senior national team, where she contributed to a third-place finish at the 2025 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket and earned All-Star 5 honors.
During that tournament she posted a career-high 31 points and seven rebounds against the Netherlands, while averaging 14.0 points and 7.9 rebounds overall.
Her club career includes a recent season with Allianz Geas Sesto San Giovanni in Italy’s Serie A, where she recorded 4.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
The Wildcats’ roster already features a global mix of talent from Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and Spain, and Osazuwa will join seven returning letterwinners who accounted for 74% of assists, 55% of points and 52% of rebounds last season.
International Experience Meets Big-12 Ambition
Head coach Jeff Mittie highlighted her versatility, noting that Osazuwa can operate both away from the basket and in the paint, providing the team with flexible offensive options.
With her proven rebounding and scoring ability, the Wildcats aim to strengthen their frontcourt depth as they prepare for a competitive schedule in the Big-12 conference.
