LSU New Orleans Privateers unveil 2026‑27 women’s basketball schedule

A challenging road opener and a home‑court push define the upcoming season

The LSU New Orleans Privateers women’s basketball team has announced its 2026‑27 schedule, a slate that blends early road challenges with a busy home stretch.

The season opens with a three‑game road swing that pits the Privateers against SEC powerhouses Arkansas, Alabama and Texas A&M on November 2, 4 and 7, respectively.

After those tests, the team travels to Tulane, Tulsa and Oral Roberts later in the month, before returning to its home court at Lakefront Arena for a series of home games in January and February.

Rebranding within the LSU system

July 2026 marked the Privateers’ reintegration into the LSU system, a move that restored the university’s name while preserving the Privateers moniker for all athletic programs.

The schedule features 25 contests, mixing Southland Conference rivals with non‑conference opponents such as Bethune‑Cookman, West Florida, UIW, HCU and East Texas A&M, many of which fall in a Florida and Texas road swing.

The Southland Tournament is set for March 8 at Townsley Law Arena in Lake Charles, providing a postseason spotlight for the team.

The regular season will wrap up with a final road game against Southeastern on February 27, after which the team will prepare for the tournament.
