Having spent two years preparing for the role, McLaughlin has studied film, refined his technique and even challenged Dzioban during last year’s fall camp, signaling a readiness that coaches have taken note of.
Power, Height and Game‑Changing Potential
Coaches praise his powerful leg, capable of launching kicks up to 60 yards under favorable conditions, and his imposing height that makes it difficult for defenders to block his attempts from the middle of the field.
Head coach Chuck Martin has repeatedly highlighted McLaughlin’s work ethic and preparation, stating that the kicker’s talent aligns perfectly with the program’s high standards.
