Cedarville’s women’s soccer program has entered the 2026 campaign with a clear signal of ambition. The Lady Jackets sit at No. 2 in the G-MAC Women’s Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll, a placement that reflects both the program’s recent success and the expectations of the conference.
Preseason Rankings
The poll placed Ashland at the top, collecting ten first-place votes and 119 points, while Cedarville earned two remaining first-place votes and amassed 110 points. Behind them, Findlay, Northwood and Lake Erie rounded out the top five with 109, 94 and 78 points respectively.
That high-level positioning is not a fluke. In 2025 the Lady Jackets posted a 12-3-7 overall record, finishing 9-1-4 in G-MAC play, and capped the year with a run to the second round of the NCAA Division II Championship. Their blend of experience and youthful talent has set a foundation for another competitive season.
Season Opener
The schedule now takes shape. Cedarville opens the season on August 27 with a road test against Lewis, before returning home for a September 3 showdown with Northern Michigan. Those early fixtures will serve as a litmus test for a squad eager to translate preseason promise into on-field results.
With a strong poll position, a deep playoff pedigree and a slate of winnable games, the Lady Jackets are poised to challenge for the conference crown and beyond.
