A legacy reborn at Bristol
Ty Gibbs will climb into the No. 54 Toyota at Bristol Motor Speedway in September 2026, piloting a car painted in the bright red and yellow colors of M&M’s as a tribute to the late Kyle Busch.
The livery echoes the iconic scheme that Busch made famous while racing for Joe Gibbs Racing from 2008 through 2022, a design that fans instantly recognized on the track.
Busch, a nine‑time Cup Series champion who amassed 23 victories at Bristol, died earlier this year from complications of pneumonia and sepsis, leaving his wife Samantha Busch to steer the final homage.
Samantha Busch announced that the paint design will serve as a final gesture to celebrate her husband’s legacy, saying the colors will be a meaningful tribute that keeps his memory alive for fans and the racing community.
Gibbs, fresh off his second win of the season, will take part in the event as a way to honor Busch’s impact on the sport and to bring closure to a chapter that has resonated throughout NASCAR.
