Kyler Harris Joins Tulane Baseball Program as Volunteer Director of Player Development

Former Pitt and Camp Community College coach brings extensive experience to the Green Wave

A Strategic Addition for the Green Wave

Kyler Harris is set to join Tulane’s baseball program as the Volunteer Director of Player Development and Camp Coordinator, a role that will see him shape the development of student‑athletes both on the field and in the classroom.

His most recent experience came at Pitt Community College, where he served as pitching coach during the 2025‑26 season, helping the Bulldogs to a 31‑17 record and a berth in the NJCAA Division II Region 10 Tournament.

Prior to that, Harris contributed to Camp Community College, guiding the Hurricanes to their first-ever World Series appearance and the 2024 Region 10 Championship, while coaching three All‑Region pitchers and setting new program records for ERA and WHIP.

Harris’s playing foundation was laid at Western Nebraska Community College, where he logged 44 innings on the mound and earned an Associate of Arts degree, before completing his education at Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Sports Science in 2022.

He later obtained a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Mary in North Dakota in 2024, a credential that complements his coaching expertise.

At Tulane, Harris will oversee player development initiatives, direct summer camps, and act as a liaison between current roster members and the broader program, a responsibility he shares with Tulane’s director of baseball operations, Jay Uhlman, who welcomed the new addition.

Athletic leaders say his blend of coaching, strength and conditioning, and leadership experience positions him to accelerate the Green Wave’s competitive edge while fostering academic success among its players.

Looking Ahead

The program anticipates that Harris’s proven track record of developing talent for NCAA Division I programs will translate into continued growth for Tulane’s roster, reinforcing the university’s commitment to excellence in collegiate baseball.
