ESPN has unveiled the talent that will shape its college football studio coverage throughout the 2026 season, confirming a lineup that blends familiar faces with fresh voices while maintaining a stable foundation for Saturday broadcasts.
At the heart of the Saturday slate, Kevin Negandhi and Booger McFarland will serve as the lead studio commentators for every Saturday game on ABC and ESPN, with analyst Jordan Rodgers joining them as a new addition after stints as the lead analyst for SEC Network’s Saturday Primetime.
Friday night coverage will be anchored by Alyssa Lang, who replaces Matt Barrie as the host, and will feature analysts Sam Acho and former quarterback EJ Manuel, who has expanded his role from ACC Network to weekday programming on ESPN.
Thursday’s lineup will see Kevin Connors team up with Acho and Manuel, adding another layer of expertise to the mid‑week schedule and rounding out the network’s studio roster.
On Saturdays, a secondary studio team will be led by either Kevin Connors or Alyssa Lang, who will host alongside EJ Manuel and former Alabama standout Joey Galloway, providing additional perspectives for the network’s extensive slate of games.
The network will debut a special pregame show called College Football Countdown, airing from 10 a.m. to noon ET on August 29, 2026, to replace the long‑running College GameDay and kick off the season’s first weekend of games.
The 2026 Aer Lingus Football Classic between TCU and UNC is slated for a noon ET broadcast, underscoring ESPN’s growing international footprint and its commitment to showcasing marquee matchups.
Veteran announcers Mark Jones and Dave Flemming have exited ESPN, making way for Tom Hart and Roy Philpot to take over the play‑by‑play duties, while the overall studio team structure remains largely steady compared with recent shifts in play‑by‑play assignments.
