A weather contingency plan ensures flexibility; if rain threatens Thursday’s play, the game may shift to Friday, giving teams the option to remain overnight in the area. Manager Derek Shelton of the Twins has already invited his father to join the crowd, highlighting the personal connections that often define moments in baseball.
After the Dyersville contest, the Twins and Phillies will travel to Minneapolis for a series at Target Field, concluding a brief but memorable stretch of games.
