For more than three decades the Glendale boys soccer program has been synonymous with district championship success, capturing 34 titles in 35 years under the steady guidance of head coach Jeff Rogers.
A Legacy Under Jeff Rogers
The Falcons posted a 22‑5 record in 2025, securing another district crown with a victory over Nixa before falling in the state quarterfinals to the perennial powerhouse Rockhurst.
Coach Rogers stresses consistency and discipline, believing that a relentless work ethic and a team‑first mentality have turned Glendale into a program that opponents eagerly target.
The 2026 squad will be markedly different, having lost ten starters, yet it retains a core of experienced seniors who are eager to preserve the tradition.
Among the returning leaders are midfielder Dylan Moran, who contributed five goals and twelve assists last season, and forward Kruse Mitchell, the team’s top scorer with 16 goals and a vocal presence in the locker room.
Memphis Tuttle, another senior forward, is expected to build on his four‑goal output and provide additional firepower, while new goalkeeper candidates Edan Riso and Levi Hay aim to fill the void left by departing keepers.
Levi’s father, Josh Hay, was a starter on Glendale’s 1991 Final Four team, adding a personal connection to the program’s deep history.
Facing Rockhurst again will be a test of resilience, as the opposition is known for capitalizing on mistakes; Rogers says the team must stay focused and execute its game plan to break through to the Final Four.
