Future is Unrivaled: A New Era for Women’s 3‑On‑3 Basketball
The Miami‑based 3×3 league announced this week that it has inked nine women’s college basketball standouts to name, image and likeness agreements, marking the latest wave of investment in the sport’s rising talent.
The contracts are part of the league’s ‘Future is Unrivaled’ program, which was launched in 2024 to channel resources into collegiate athletes who are preparing for the transition from NCAA competition to professional 3‑on‑3 play.
Among the signees are UConn’s Sarah Strong, Notre Dame’s Hannah Hidalgo, Texas’ Madison Booker, and a quartet of other standout players — KK Arnold, Joyce Edwards, Mikaylah Williams, Jada Williams, Jaloni Cambridge and Olivia Olson — each of whom brings a résumé of NCAA Tournament runs, Final Four appearances and, in several cases, national championship experience.
Several of the athletes have already tasted success on the international stage, including Hidalgo, Booker and Joyce Edwards, who helped the United States capture a fifth consecutive gold medal at the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup, while Mikaylah Williams earned MVP honors at the 2026 FIBA 3×3 World Cup alongside teammate Joyce Edwards.
The league also highlighted the broader impact of the deals, noting that the cohort collectively boasts 21 NCAA Tournament appearances, nine Final Four showings and two national titles, underscoring the depth of talent now committed to the 3‑on‑3 format.
Clare Duwelius, the league’s general manager, said the initiative reflects a long‑term commitment to building a sustainable pipeline for women’s basketball, with plans for multi‑day development sessions, mentorship workshops and merchandise shoots that will give the athletes a platform to grow both on and off the court.
While the signees hail from programs across the country, their common thread is a proven track record in 3‑on‑3 competition and a shared ambition to elevate the visibility of women’s basketball at the professional level.
