A New Era of Jersey Sponsorships
Kansas State University is on the cusp of rolling out sponsorship patches on the front of its football jerseys for the upcoming season, a move that would mark a significant shift in how the program monetizes its on‑field apparel.
The university has been working closely with Shamrock Trading Company, a diversified donor that operates in transportation, finance and technology, to design a deal that could be announced in the coming weeks. The partnership is already visible on the team’s practice jerseys, where Shamrock’s distinctive Irish clover logo appears prominently.
Shamrock’s influence extends beyond the field; the company’s headquarters in Overland Park and its executive leadership, including CEO Bill Ryan and President Martin Ryan, have long been supporters of the university, even lending their name to the football training facility.
Conference‑wide Trends
The initiative follows a wave of similar agreements across the Big 12, where the Kansas Jayhawks recently struck a cryptocurrency partnership with XRP and Monster Energy Drink secured a conference‑wide deal that blankets all football programs, including Kansas State.
While the football patch arrangement appears close to finalization, university officials say basketball teams are also being evaluated for potential sponsorships, though no concrete agreements have been reached for those squads.
