Arrest details
At approximately 1:27 a.m. on Friday, Isaiah Sealy was approached by a bouncer at Tin Roof, a popular venue on Dickson Street in Fayetteville, after refusing to present identification. The confrontation escalated, and officers discovered that Sealy was in possession of an alcoholic beverage as well as a THC‑infused vape pen.
He was subsequently charged with criminal trespassing, obstructing governmental operations, minor in possession of alcohol and possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $1,615, and he was released at 9:18 a.m. with a preliminary hearing scheduled for September 28 in Fayetteville District Court.
Sealy, a Springdale native, had appeared in 19 games during his freshman season, averaging 2.9 points and 1.3 rebounds. The guard’s sophomore campaign was cut short by a knee injury that required surgery, a fact revealed by Coach John Calipari earlier in the summer. The injury also kept him from traveling with the team on the Bahamas exhibition trip in late July and early August.
Program response and next steps
The Arkansas Razorbacks athletics department issued a statement confirming awareness of the arrest and indicating that it is gathering information from official sources. While the program has not announced any immediate disciplinary action, the incident adds a layer of complexity to Sealy’s prospects as he works toward a full recovery.
With the legal process still unfolding, Sealy’s focus will likely shift to rehabilitation and re‑establishing his place on the roster. Coach Calipari, who has been vocal about the guard’s potential, may soon address how the situation impacts the team’s depth heading into the new season.
