Kansas State Opens 2026 Season with Convincing 4-0 Win Over Seattle U.

Four goals, a clean sheet and a record-tying performance set the tone for the Wildcats' campaign.

Kansas State kicked off its 2026 women's soccer campaign in spectacular fashion, routing Seattle University 4-0 at the University of Hawaii’s Lower Campus Field.

A Record-Setting Start

The victory not only secured a clean sheet but also tied the program’s historic mark for goals scored in a season opener, underscoring the Wildcats' attacking depth.

McKinnan Braswell opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a daring diving header that found the back of the net for her third career goal and put the team ahead.

Rilyn Rintoul extended the lead just five minutes later, converting a rebound after a missed shot to make it 2-0 before halftime.

Freshmen Lauren Moylan and Kennedy Miller added their names to the scoresheet in the second half, with Moylan striking in the 66th minute and Miller capping the scoring in the 73rd minute after a scramble in front of goal.

The Wildcats outshot Seattle 14-9 overall, including an 8-3 edge in shots on target, while goalkeeper Maddie Sibbing made two early saves before being replaced by Grace Pilling in the 82nd minute.

With the win fresh in mind, Kansas State will travel to face Hawaii on Sunday, hoping to carry the momentum into the next matchup on the islands.
