A new chapter for Nevada basketball
The University of Nevada announced its 2026‑27 men’s basketball slate, marking the first time the Wolf Pack will play at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. The schedule blends home contests, neutral‑site tournaments and a rigorous Mountain West road swing.
The season kicks off with two exhibition games, one against Utah on October 17 and another versus Cal State Fullerton on October 25. The official opener arrives on November 2 when Nevada hosts Robert Morris at Lawlor Events Center, a venue that will also welcome Saint Mary’s on November 8 for the first game at the new Tahoe venue.
A Thanksgiving stretch takes the Pack to Palm Springs, where they will meet San Francisco on November 23 and Santa Clara on November 24. In December the team travels to Dallas to compete in the Texas Legends College Classic, facing Colorado State on December 18 and Loyola Chicago on December 20.
Mountain West play begins with road trips to Wyoming on January 2 and New Mexico on January 5, before the conference schedule ramps up with a home opener against Hawai‘i. The regular season concludes with a final road game at Air Force and a showdown with New Mexico at home.
Nevada returns a core group that helped secure a 24‑win campaign last year, featuring Elijah Price, Vaughn Weems, Peyton White and Myles Walker, while welcoming ten newcomers who will add depth and versatility.
The full slate includes a three‑game homestand against Pacific, LMU and Sam Houston, as well as neutral‑site matchups that test the team’s resilience early in the year.
Coach Eric Musselman, now in his third season, expressed confidence that the blend of experience and fresh talent positions the Wolf Pack to contend for a deep run in the National Invitational Tournament and beyond.
