The FIBA 3×3 Women’s World Cup is set to take place from June 1 to June 7 in Warsaw, Poland, bringing together twenty nations in a fast‑paced tournament that showcases the most dynamic form of basketball.
A Reunion of South Carolina Alumni
Team USA will be led by a mix of rising college stars and experienced internationals, including LSU’s Mikaylah Williams and Oklahoma’s Sahara Williams, who join forces with South Carolina alumni MiLaysia Fulwiley and Joyce Edwards.
Both Fulwiley and Edwards starred together for the Gamecocks during the 2024‑25 season, a partnership that helped the team capture two national title game appearances and earned Fulwiley twice the SEC Sixth Player of the Year honor.
Coaching and Selection
Their inclusion follows a selection process overseen by Elena Delle Donne, USA Basketball’s managing director for 3×3 women’s basketball, who assembled a roster that also features three‑time U18 World Cup gold medalist Mikaylah Williams, a 2022 USA Basketball 3×3 Athlete of the Year.
Coaching the squad will be Christina Batastini, assisted by Julia Ford, a duo that brings a fresh tactical perspective to a team that has already secured three gold medals and one bronze in previous World Cup editions.
