On the evening of August 6, a pickup soccer game at Sueno Park in Phoenix turned deadly when an unidentified group attacked a 19‑year‑old participant. The assault, which began after 8 p.m., left the victim severely injured and unconscious in a nearby field.
First responders arrived promptly and transported the young man to a local hospital. He remained in critical condition for seven days before the Maricopa County Medical Examiner confirmed his death.
