The Regina boys soccer team capped a remarkable campaign by entering the 1A postseason with an immaculate record of 16 wins, one tie and ten shutouts, a testament to their defensive solidity and attacking flair.
Leading the charge was Laird Holden, who was crowned River Valley Conference player of the year after tallying 31 goals and 17 assists, a dual threat that left opponents scrambling.
Seniors Drew Greve and Evan White earned first‑team all‑conference honors, rounding out a Regina contingent that placed seven players on the all‑conference list.
Sophomore Connor Hoffman was recognized on the second team, underscoring the depth of talent across the roster.
West Branch’s conference representation
Across town, West Branch also celebrated a strong showing, with four players receiving all‑RVC accolades. Senior forward Reese Gingerich paced the Bears with 13 goals and five assists in 16 matches, while junior goalkeeper Robby Boaz posted a staggering 205 saves, conceding just 32 goals.
Julian Weckmann secured a second‑team spot for the Bears, and Oliver Trepanier rounded out the recognition with honorable‑mention status.
