Hillsdale Chargers unveil 2026 football schedule with seven home games

Season kicks off Sept. 5 against McKendree, featuring Victory Day, Homecoming and community‑focused celebrations

The 2026 Hillsdale Chargers football season officially opened its ticket window this week, offering supporters the opportunity to attend a full slate of home contests. With seven regular‑season games slated on campus, the schedule promises a mix of historic matchups and fresh community experiences.

A season of milestones

The campaign begins on Sept. 5 at noon when the Chargers host McKendree in a game that coincides with Victory Day, a celebration that honors local residents with special needs. The matchup sets the tone for a season that will see Hillsdale renew a century‑old rivalry with Wayne State on Sept. 12, a contest that will also spotlight faculty and staff through a dedicated theme day.

Community engagement continues on Sept. 26, when the Chargers face Thomas More in the first home G‑MAC showdown and open the gates for free admission during Community Day. The following weeks bring a trio of October home games, highlighted by the annual Homecoming clash with Walsh on Oct. 10 and a showdown against rival Findlay on Oct. 17, which will be recognized as Navy Day.

Later in the month, Tiffin will visit on Oct. 24, bringing Parents Weekend and Military Appreciation Day festivities to the stadium. The season’s final chapter arrives on Nov. 7, when Ashland returns to campus for a rivalry game that doubles as Senior Day, honoring graduating seniors and reigniting the Traveling Trophy, a prize contested since 1975.
