The Chase Takes Shape at New Hampshire
The double‑header will feature the premier Cup Series on Saturday, September 26, followed by the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series on Friday, September 25, giving fans a condensed but intense weekend of championship‑shaping action.
Both races will count toward the playoff picture, with the Truck race marking the inaugural event of The Chase and the Cup race serving as its third installment, underscoring the strategic importance of the New Hampshire weekend.
David McGrath, executive vice president of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, expressed enthusiasm about returning to the September slot, recalling the sold‑out crowds of recent years and the growing excitement among drivers who relish the track’s unique layout.
The 2026 edition of the weekend already proved the venue’s draw, showcasing the NCS Dollar Tree 301, the NCTS Team EJP 175 and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Mohegan Sun 100, and set the stage for an even larger spectacle next year.
