NASCAR has unveiled a revised lineup for the 2027 Chase, reshaping the playoff landscape with a notable shift in venue locations.
The centerpiece of the change sees New Hampshire Motor Speedway slotted into the third position of the postseason, taking over from Bristol Motor Speedway’s traditional August slot.
The return of Bristol’s night race
Bristol’s fall event will now run from August 12 to 14, 2027, reclaiming a spot that was vacated earlier in the planning cycle, and it will once again feature all three of NASCAR’s national series.
In contrast, New Hampshire will host the Craftsman Truck Series on Saturday, September 25, followed by the Cup Series on Sunday, September 26, marking the first time the track will anchor the playoff schedule in the Northeast.
The adjustment adds two Northeastern circuits — New Hampshire and Watkins Glen — to the Chase roster, underscoring the region’s growing importance in NASCAR’s postseason strategy.
Several other tracks, including Daytona, Phoenix and Watkins Glen, have already locked in their 2027 dates, reflecting a broader trend of early confirmations across the sport as teams and sponsors align their calendars.
