The Wheeling Nailers announced this week that they have inked forward Remy Parker to a contract for the 2026‑27 ECHL season, a move that bolsters their offensive depth heading into the new campaign.
A Brief Look at Parker’s Career
Parker, a 28‑year‑old native of New Jersey, arrives after a season that saw him split time between the Cincinnati Cyclones and the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, where he contributed three goals and a handful of assists in 68 games for Cincinnati and added a goal in five appearances for Greenville.
The forward’s professional debut came in Toledo, where he found the back of the net, and he went on to record 27 points over 119 ECHL games, including a standout junior season at Utica University in which he netted 23 goals in 29 contests.
Prior to turning pro, Parker honed his game at the University of Maine, Utica University and Long Island University, compiling a college career that featured 36 goals across 65 games and a third‑place finish in scoring for LIU as a senior.
What the Nailers Expect
Coaching staff view Parker as a reliable middle‑six forward who can contribute both on the power play and at even strength, bringing a blend of experience and goal‑scoring instinct that the club hopes will translate into more wins.
General manager said the signing reflects the team’s commitment to building a competitive roster that can contend for a playoff spot, and Parker’s familiarity with the ECHL’s pace should make the transition seamless.
Fans can look forward to seeing the New Jersey native in a Nailers jersey, and the club’s management believes his work ethic and offensive instincts will resonate with the community.
