Wadsworth High School is gearing up for the 2026 football season with optimism after a strong 2025 campaign that ended at 11‑1 overall and a perfect 7‑0 in the Suburban League National Conference.
Coach Justin Todd, now in his tenth year at the helm, brings a 80‑34 record that reflects steady growth and a commitment to developing talent from within the program.
Returning Star Power
At the center of the offense is junior quarterback Brysen Hall, a power‑four recruit who threw for 2,490 yards and 29 touchdowns last season and earned first‑team Division II All‑Ohio honors.
Hall will be surrounded by a talented receiving corps that includes Calix Lemp, Jay'len King, Kyle Schmeltzer and Donny Bettis, all of whom contributed to a balanced attack.
The roster also welcomes new transfers such as Liehr from Hoban, Kinser from Orrville and Pierce from Lake, adding depth at several skill positions.
Running back Jude Haller is expected to shoulder the bulk of the rushing duties, bringing a physical style and sharp vision to the backfield.
A Challenging Schedule
The 2026 slate features tough matchups against traditional rivals like Cleveland Heights and Hilliard Davidson, as well as other Ohio powerhouses including Jackson, Solon, North Royalton, Stow, Hudson, Highland and Nordonia.
Competing in Division II, Region 5, the Grizzlies will rely on health, maturity and a possession‑based offense to maintain their upward trajectory.
