Kristen Bell’s Musical Mashup Lights Up Banana Ball in Denver

The actress’s viral performance with Derek Klena sets the stage for upcoming Detroit appearances and a Disney preview of Frozen 3

Actress Kristen Bell surprised fans during a recent exhibition baseball game in Denver, where she joined the Savannah Bananas for a surprise musical interlude.

Together with actor Derek Klena, Bell performed a medley that wove together ‘For the First Time in Forever’ from Frozen and ‘Dancing Through Life’ from Wicked, before capping the routine with the iconic lift from ‘(I've Had) The Time of My Life’ from Dirty Dancing.

A star‑studded swing at the diamond

The clip, posted to Instagram, amassed more than 15 million views by Sunday morning, sparking a wave of commentary across social platforms.

The performance was part of the Banana Ball series, which is scheduled to return to Coors Field on September 18‑19, featuring a matchup between the Firefighters and the Party Animals.

Bell’s busy schedule also includes a stint at the Detroit Opera House on September 26, where she will appear in ‘The Coney’, a variety show that blends comedy, music and circus‑style acrobatics. The event is being staged to raise funds for youth arts programs through the Children’s Foundation of Michigan.

Adding to the buzz, Bell attended the D23 fan gathering earlier this month to give attendees a first look at Disney’s upcoming Frozen 3, slated for a November 2027 release.

The show will also feature her husband, actor Dax Shepard, and a roster of guest stars that includes J.K. Simmons and Tony Hawk.
