Milwaukee handed the UNI women's soccer team a 4-0 defeat in a non-conference match on Friday night, ending a season‑high celebration of five senior players with a quiet night for the Panthers. The result adds another chapter to Milwaukee's 3-0-0 edge in the all‑time series against UNI.
The visitors struck first when Abby O'Brien opened the scoring in the 27th minute, finishing unassisted after a quick move down the right flank. Just seven minutes later, Taylor Richards converted a penalty to put Milwaukee up 2-0, a lead they carried into the break.
First‑half dominance
After the interval, Milwaukee continued to control possession, and Emily Petiring extended the margin in the 64th minute with an unassisted strike. Ashlyn Deroiser capped the scoring in the 88th minute, sealing a 4-0 final.
Defensively, UNI struggled to contain the opposition, managing only a single shot on goal while Milwaukee recorded 21 attempts, ten of them on target. Poppy Anderson made six saves, her best effort of the season, but could not stop the onslaught.
The loss also marked personal milestones for several Panthers. Camille Landphair earned her first career start, appearing in her 16th collegiate appearance, while Kailey O'Brien and Jenna Scholz both lined up in their inaugural starts for the program.
