Logano's Victory Stands After Inspection
NASCAR officials completed post‑race inspections at Richmond Raceway, confirming that Joey Logano’s No. 22 Team Penske Ford cleared all checks and officially secured the Cook Out 400 victory.
Logano dominated the 400‑mile event, leading 95 laps and edging Chase Briscoe by 0.392 seconds at the finish line. Briscoe had led a race‑high 171 laps, but a late‑stage battle promoted Austin Cindric from 23rd on the grid to a podium finish.
Engine Testing Highlights
Four cars — Austin Cindric’s No. 2, Chase Elliott’s No. 9, Christopher Bell’s No. 20 and Shane van Gisbergen’s No. 97 — were selected for additional dyno testing at NASCAR’s Research and Development Center. The teams involved represent Team Penske, Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing and Trackhouse Racing, showcasing a range of performance outcomes at Richmond.
The win marks Logano’s second victory in the past four races and propels him to ninth in the Cup Series standings. With the season moving toward New Hampshire Motor Speedway and culminating at Daytona International Speedway, teams will look to translate this momentum into the final stretch. No penalties or rule breaches were announced for any of the four cars under extra scrutiny.
