Nebraska's women's soccer squad opened its season at home against South Dakota, only to fall behind after a 41st‑minute strike from the Coyotes.
Despite the early setback, the Huskers dominated possession and outshot their opponents 25‑9, generating nine shots on goal while South Dakota managed just two.
The tide turned in the 82nd minute when freshman forward Emma Donnelly recorded her first career goal, slotting the ball past the keeper to level the contest.
Freshmen Ella Rudney, Ava Makovicka, Sadie Sant and Reese Snowden all contributed multiple attempts, while goaltender Avery Gillahan turned away three shots on goal with two saves.
