The Central Michigan University men’s basketball team is set to embark on a five‑day journey to Toronto, Ontario, where they will face off against three local college programs in a series of exhibition games.
A Canadian adventure for the Chippewas
Departing Monday afternoon after a six‑hour drive, the Chippewas will open their Canadian swing on Tuesday at York College, host Toronto Metro on Wednesday and close the mini‑tournament on Friday against Ontario Tech.
All three contests are open to the public at no charge, and the schedule was released alongside a detailed itinerary that also earmarks a full day for sightseeing.
Thursday is reserved for a team‑building outing, with players slated to explore downtown Toronto and take in the iconic CN Tower, turning the trip into both a competitive and cultural experience.
Beyond the games, the trip provides valuable extra practice time, a chance for coaches to evaluate talent and for the squad to forge tighter chemistry before the regular season begins.
The upcoming 32‑game schedule includes a blend of home contests, conference battles and road trips to Arkansas, Notre Dame and Pittsburgh, while season tickets will become available on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
