Chris Bell Rejoins Miami Dolphins After ACL Recovery

Third-round 2026 draft pick returns from non-football injury list ahead of preseason

The Miami Dolphins announced that wide receiver Chris Bell has been activated from the non-football injury list, clearing a path for the third-round 2026 draft selection to rejoin the squad.

Bell’s season was cut short in November when he tore his right ACL during a game at Louisville, a setback that landed him on the injured list in July.

During the 2025 campaign he recorded 72 receptions for 917 yards and six touchdowns, building on a collegiate career that saw him amass 2,166 receiving yards and 12 scores over 47 games.

Preseason Schedule

The Dolphins will host the New York Giants on August 27 at 4 p.m. EDT in Miami Gardens, then close the exhibition slate against the Atlanta Falcons on August 28 at Hard Rock Stadium.

With the roster reduction deadline looming on August 30, Bell’s activation adds a fresh option to a group that also includes Caleb Douglas, Jalen Tolbert, Malik Washington and Tutu Atwell, while the regular season opener is set for September 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
