In a statement released to the campus community, Scott explained that the decision was driven by family considerations, particularly the need to support his son Peyton during his final two years at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines.
Scott’s departure comes at a moment when the program is poised for continuity, with his longtime assistant Zach Moore stepping in as interim head coach to guide the Yellowjackets through the transition.
