Align Technology Endows Arizona State’s New Indoor Football Facility

A $‑million naming rights gift will transform ASU’s upcoming practice complex into the Invisalign Performance Center by 2028.

Arizona State University announced a landmark naming rights agreement that will see its upcoming indoor football practice complex christened the Invisalign Performance Center, thanks to a transformative gift from global medical device leader Align Technology.

A Facility Designed for Excellence

The 100,000‑square‑foot complex, scheduled to open in 2028 just steps from Mountain America Stadium, will house a full‑size indoor field, a covered half‑field, and a dedicated volleyball practice area. In addition to serving as a state‑of‑the‑art training venue, the building will function as an air‑conditioned tailgating hub on game days, eliminating the half‑mile walk players previously endured to reach the Verde Dickey Dome.

University President Michael Crow praised the contribution, stating that the center embodies ASU’s ambition to redefine higher education and to provide student‑athletes with resources that match their competitive aspirations.

Coach Kenny Dillingham, the Swette Family Endowed Football Coach, called the gift ‘incredible,’ emphasizing its impact on recruiting and the daily training experience for players who will now enjoy a climate‑controlled environment.

Beyond the Game: Academic and Community Benefits

Athletics Director Graham Rossini described the complex as the ‘ultimate player development tool,’ noting its flexible design that will host both training sessions and hospitality events, thereby enriching the overall fan experience.

Vince Volpe, senior director of development for Sun Devil Athletics, highlighted that the partnership builds on a multi‑year relationship that includes stadium signage, name‑image‑likeness initiatives and collaborative market research since 2024.

The Invisalign Performance Center will also function as a research laboratory for Align’s orthodontic technologies, creating pathways for student internships and joint studies that align with the university’s Changing Futures campaign.

Together, these elements aim to eliminate travel burdens for athletes, foster community engagement, and position ASU as a model for integrating corporate partnerships into athletic infrastructure.
