LSU’s men’s basketball team has landed a new international recruit, Croatian power forward/center Michael Ruzic, who will join the Tigers after three seasons in Spain’s Liga Endesa.
At 19 years old, Ruzic brings a 54.7% field‑goal percentage and a 40.7% three‑point rate from the 2025‑26 campaign, numbers that rank among the most efficient for a player of his size.
His versatility allows him to operate at both power forward and center, giving the coaching staff flexibility in line‑ups and the ability to stretch the floor.
Versatility and NBA Outlook
Ruzic’s experience at the 2025 NBA Draft combine showed he understands what scouts look for, and his professional background in the EuroCup suggests he is ready for the next step.
Coach Will Wade highlighted the player’s shooting touch and size as assets that should translate into immediate contributions, especially in transition play.
The commitment marks the third overseas addition to the roster, following center Marcio Santos and forward Saliou Niang, and comes alongside four transfers: Abdi Bashir Jr., Mouhamed Dioubate, Austin Nunez and Divine Ugochukwu.
With the new class now assembled, LSU looks to blend youthful talent with seasoned transfers as it prepares for the upcoming season, aiming to leverage Ruzic’s size and shooting to fuel bigger runs and a more dynamic offense.
