Van Horn Secures Long‑Term Deal with Arkansas
Under the freshly inked agreement, Van Horn will remain the Razorbacks’ head coach through the 2031 season. The deal guarantees a base salary of $2.1 million each year, with additional incentives that activate upon securing a College World Series title or completing the contract term.
Van Horn’s résumé already places him at the pinnacle of Division I baseball. He enters the new season with 1,345 career victories, 974 of which have come while guiding Arkansas. This marks his 39th year as a head coach and his 25th consecutive season in Fayetteville, underscoring a sustained period of excellence.
A Record of Wins and Championships
The Razorbacks’ pedigree is reflected in eight appearances at the College World Series, highlighted by a runner‑up finish in 2018. Over the years the program has captured three SEC regular‑season championships, one SEC Tournament title and has competed in 22 NCAA regionals, a testament to the consistent competitiveness cultivated under Van Horn’s leadership.
Expressing pride in the program’s heritage, Van Horn said the ultimate objective is to bring a national championship to Arkansas. ‘Our fans, alumni and student‑athletes deserve that moment,’ he remarked, adding that the extended contract provides the stability needed to pursue that goal relentlessly.
