Fort Lauderdale will host a free three‑day hockey celebration this September, anchored by Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk. The event runs from September 4 through 6 at the Baptist Health IcePlex, inviting families to experience the sport without a ticket price.
Organizers have built the schedule around a youth tournament that pits boys at the AAA level against girls at the AA level, while also offering free skating sessions and skill‑development clinics throughout the weekend.

Beyond the games, the festival includes interactive activities, giveaways and opportunities for kids and parents to meet hockey personalities. A fireside chat on Saturday will feature Tkachuk in conversation with veteran broadcaster Steve Goldstein, adding a personal touch to the festivities.
