Coastal Carolina Revives Free Concessions for 2026 Football Season

A partnership with Aramark aims to boost attendance and enrich the fan experience at Brooks Stadium

Coastal Carolina University is set to bring back its free concession program for the 2026 football season, promising fans a complimentary snack or drink with every visit to Brooks Stadium.

Through the Chanticleers App and a game‑ticket scan, supporters can claim one of several options — hot dogs, nachos, popcorn or fountain drinks — at no cost, a perk that was first introduced in 2025 and quickly became a talking point among the student body and alumni.

The initiative was developed in collaboration with Aramark, the global food services provider, and is being billed as one of the most distinctive fan experiences in college athletics, blending convenience with a nod to tradition.

The free offerings will remain available through the end of the third quarter, after which alcohol sales will also cease, ensuring that the atmosphere stays family‑friendly for the remainder of each contest.

The 2025 rollout not only delighted spectators but also translated into tangible results, with the stadium posting three of its top‑10 attendances in school history, including a program‑record crowd of 22,217.

Average home attendance climbed from 17,120 in 2023 to 19,884 during the 2024‑25 season, a surge that coaches and administrators attribute in part to the enhanced game‑day amenities and the excitement generated by Coach Beard’s inaugural campaign.

A More Accessible Future for Chanticleer Fans

University officials say the program is designed to make Brooks Stadium more welcoming and engaging, removing financial barriers and encouraging a broader cross‑section of the community to experience college football in person.
