Season Overview
Brown University has released its full 2026‑27 women’s hockey schedule, a 30‑game lineup that blends a rugged East Coast road circuit with a home slate anchored at Meehan Auditorium. The Bears will host 14 games and travel for 16 away contests, giving fans a balanced mix of familiar venues and challenging opponents.
Opening Road Swing
The season opens with a four‑game road stretch that begins on October 16‑17 at RIT, followed by matches against ECAC rivals Princeton and Quinnipiac on October 30‑31. These early games set the tone for a schedule that emphasizes competition across the Northeast.
Home‑Opening Weekend
A home‑opening weekend on November 6‑7 will see the Bears host Harvard and Dartmouth, giving fans a first chance to see the new roster in Providence. The matchups against two historic Ivy opponents generate considerable excitement among students and alumni.
ECAC Road Trip
Throughout November the team travels to New York for a series against St. Lawrence, Clarkson, RPI and Union, then returns to face city rival on November 28. The road trip tests the squad’s depth and provides valuable experience against a variety of playing styles.
December Home Stretch
December brings a busy home stretch with games against Assumption, Union and RPI before the squad heads to Boston for a showdown with Boston University on December 9. The December schedule also includes a home game against Union on December 4 and a matchup with RPI on December 5.
Holiday Break and January Matchups
After a holiday break, the Bears resume on January 1 with contests against Sacred Heart and Merrimack, then host Boston University on January 5 and Clarkson on January 8. January also features a high‑profile series against Yale on January 24 and a back‑to‑back matchup with Quinnipiac and Princeton on January 29‑30.
Late‑Season Road Games
The schedule wraps with road games at Dartmouth and Harvard in early February, followed by home contests against Colgate and Cornell later in the month. These final games will determine seeding for the ECAC tournament and provide a final test before the season concludes.
