The Conference USA office announced that senior goalkeeper Mia Riddick has been named Goalkeeper of the Week, following a performance that included two clean sheets and eight saves across the opening matches.
Sophomore forward Egan was recognized as Offensive Player of the Week after she scored the decisive goal in the 54th minute against Indiana State, a 1‑0 victory that also marked her sixth career goal for WKU.
The Hilltoppers opened the season with back‑to‑back shutouts, a milestone not achieved since 2021, and even held Missouri to a 0‑0 draw before edging Indiana State 1‑0.
Riddick has not allowed a goal in any of the exhibition matches so far, highlighting the defensive foundation that has already begun to pay dividends.
A Promising Start
Coach staff praised the duo’s impact, noting that the early results reflect the work put in during preseason training and set a positive tone for the upcoming schedule.
The Hilltoppers will host UAB on Thursday, August 20, and Ball State on Sunday, August 23, at the WKU Soccer Complex, with free admission offered to all fans.
