Florida State University will pause its season on October 31 to recognize Peter Warrick as he is inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame during the Seminoles' showdown with Clemson at Doak Campbell Stadium.
A Tribute to a Seminole Legend
Warrick, a two‑time consensus All‑American, amassed 32 career receiving touchdowns, a record that still stands for the university, and his 3,517 receiving yards place him second in ACC history and on FSU’s all‑time list.
The induction is part of a broader celebration that also honors the late coach Bobby Bowden and former teammate Warrick Dunn, joining a distinguished group of Seminole alumni already enshrined in the Hall.
The ceremony will spotlight Warrick’s role on the 1999 national championship team, a season that cemented his place among the greats and contributed to a 45–4 record over his four‑year career at FSU.
Fans and alumni alike anticipate the moment as a chance to reflect on the program’s rich history, with other notable inductees such as Marvin Jones, Terrell Buckley, Derrick Brooks, Deion Sanders, Ron Simmons, Charlie Ward, Darrell Mudra, Fred Biletnikoff and Ron Sellers serving as a reminder of the legacy being honored.
The matchup against Clemson, a perennial powerhouse, adds extra intrigue, as the Seminoles look to continue their strong start while paying homage to one of their own.
