AAPB Secures SI TV as New Broadcast Partner for 2026 Season

Twenty games will reach over 36 million homes, marking a major expansion in coverage

The American Association of Professional Baseball (AAPB) announced a new broadcast agreement that brings SI TV into its lineup for the remainder of the 2026 season.

Under the deal, SI TV will air twenty AAPB contests, extending the league’s reach to more than 36 million households — a 72 percent jump from the previous year.

Expanding the Fan Experience

Commissioner Joshua Schaub said the partnership reflects the league’s commitment to higher-quality broadcasts and richer storytelling, aiming to keep fans engaged throughout the season’s final stretch.

Steve Cannella, editor in chief of Sports Illustrated, added that the collaboration expands SI TV’s content offerings and underscores the network’s growing role in sports media.

The arrangement follows a series of recent expansions, including the addition of FanDuel Sports Networks and MLB Network’s All-Star Game coverage, which originated from Lincoln, Nebraska.

AAPB’s existing partners such as NBC Regional Sports Networks, Marquee Sports Network, and NESN continue to play a key role, while the new SI TV slot promises even more live programming for viewers as the season progresses.
