A Promising Roster Ahead of the 2026 Campaign
Marshfield’s soccer program is entering the 2026 season with a renewed sense of purpose. Head coach Tom Searson has assembled a squad that blends seasoned veterans with emerging talent, aiming to translate offseason work into tangible results on the field.
At the forefront of the attack, seniors Mason Lawrence and Riley Dailey headline a group of five experienced forwards. Both have overcome injuries that limited their impact last year, and coaches expect them to anchor the offense with speed and physicality.
Versatility Across the Midfield
The midfield corps features a blend of junior and senior players who can adapt to multiple roles. Gaspar Silva, Aiden Davis, Luke Orphan, Cameron Obregon and senior Vince Ewan each bring distinct strengths, from creative distribution to relentless work rate, allowing the team to adjust dynamically against opponents.
Defensively, senior center back Johnathan McGlynn provides leadership and a solid presence, while sophomore Levi Huffman is slated to inherit the goalkeeper position after the graduation of Ian Admire. Huffman’s early training performances suggest he could bring stability between the posts.
Building Momentum with a Home Tournament
Marshfield will open its schedule with a home tournament on August 28–29, a strategic opportunity to test new formations and reinforce the defensive focus that has defined the offseason. The coaching staff hopes the early matches will set the tone for a season marked by improved speed, physicality, and collective effort.
