Drew Watson, a standout athlete from Macomb, has signed his letter of intent to join the football program at Missouri S&T, bringing a rare blend of talent across three sports to the campus.
Coach Tanner Horrell, who has been guiding Watson’s development, described the young man as a “great kid” whose work ethic and leadership extend beyond the playing field.
Balancing Athletics and Academics
Watson’s academic ambition is clear: he aims to graduate with a GPA above 3.5 and then pursue a doctorate in physical therapy, a path he hopes will let him continue serving others long after his playing days end.
On the gridiron, his primary objective is simple — help the Missouri S&T Miners win as many games as possible and contribute to a culture of excellence that the coach has praised.
Beyond the stadium, Watson envisions a future where he leverages his athletic experience to assist teammates and community members alike, using his planned career in physical therapy to keep people moving.
