La Plata High School’s boys soccer program is charting a course back to relevance after a bruising 2025 campaign. The Warriors finished the season near the bottom of the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference, but the experience has set the stage for a determined rebound.
A New Mindset Under Coach Andrews
Nicolas Andrews, now in his second year at the helm, has instilled a fresh philosophy that blends competitiveness with character development. He believes the team can compete with the conference’s top programs by capitalizing on missed opportunities from last season.
The Warriors return a strong group of players who experienced the rigors of the previous campaign together, fostering familiarity and teamwork that Andrews hopes will translate into tighter on‑field cohesion.
