Midwest ODP Announces 2026‑27 Interregional Rosters
US Youth Soccer has unveiled the 2026‑27 Olympic Development Program Interregional rosters for the Boys Midwest Region, spanning age groups from 2009 through 2014. The selections represent the region’s elite prospects who will compete in a series of interregional matches aimed at securing spots on the national ODP teams.
The rosters were compiled after rigorous evaluation across state programs, with each age cohort showcasing a blend of skill, tactical awareness and physical readiness. Players hail from Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa and North Dakota, underscoring the geographic diversity of talent in the Midwest.
Among the notable names in the 2009 cohort are Nicholas Royse of Illinois, Evan Harty from North Dakota and Adrian Hernandez, also an Illinois resident. The 2010 group features Kansas standouts Jordan Freemon and Porter Thomas, alongside Michigan’s Joseph Mayo. Across the younger brackets, Illinois continues to contribute heavily, with players such as Jayden Serrano, Pedro Calderon and Tyler Lewandowski earning spots.
The coaching staff for the region brings a mix of experience and fresh perspective. Nick Aguilar, Mike Madigan and Jeff Shuk will guide the 2009 age group, while Eric Johnson serves as head coach and Will Martel as assistant for the 2010 cohort. Todd Sheely, ODP Director, leads the 2011 group, and Mick Galeski alongside Jeremy Anderson support the 2012 division. Paul Fabry and Maninder Gill head the 2013 older cohort, with Declan Lynch and Stephen Harvey overseeing the 2014 older group.
These interregional events provide a critical platform for athletes to display their abilities in front of national selectors. Success at the regional level can translate into invitations to ODP National Camps and, ultimately, selection for the United States youth national teams.
