A Promising Outlook
Weiss High School has entered the 2026 season as the fourth‑ranked team in the Austin‑area preseason poll, a position that reflects both the program’s rapid rise and the expectations placed on its coaching staff.
Under head coach Malcolm Hill, who guided the Warriors to a 10‑3 record last year and a regional semifinal appearance, the offense has become a focal point, averaging more than 50 points in several games last season.
The attack is anchored by quarterback Jaxon Schad, who earned first‑team All‑Central Texas honors as a sophomore after throwing for 3,627 yards and 51 touchdowns, and by wide receiver Tre Moore, a 24th‑rated prospect who committed to Washington.
Additional weapons such as Jordan Anderson, Reagan Henderson and Jayon Alexander add depth, while the receiving corps is considered the strongest in Central Texas.
The Warriors’ slate features marquee matchups against Round Rock, Lake Travis, College Station and a decisive district game against A&M Consolidated on Oct. 9, a contest that could shape their playoff destiny.
With a recruiting class that includes three‑star talent like Schad and a pipeline that has produced standouts such as Tylan Henderson and Peyton Morgan, the team is projected to contend for a UIL playoff berth and perhaps a deeper run.
